24 hours of extremes

Kaffee in the morning outside our hotel/apt.  What a find!  Nescafe' with carnation sweetened condensed milk over sanitary ice (we hope )Grand entrance to our hotel/apt.  Notice the glass window :)  It could be to keep in the air-conditioning or we aren't sure.  They speak no english, we speak no Thai!  Amazing how it all works, despite that.  Lots of pointing; before we found out that's it is rude to point with your finger; however you may point with your open hand!  Soooooo....
Way overdressed for our arrival.  But it was snowing and 30 something when we left Minneapolis and 80 something and very humid when we arrived Thailand at 12:40 am this morning! Quite an extreme.

  1. Love the pointing with the hand vs. the finger! It's kind of like saying "ok" with your fingers in SA. OOOPS! Who knew? Nobody told us!
